Some cargo cannot be booked online and should not be. Out-of-gauge machinery, generators, boilers, tanks, steel structures and complete production lines need engineering before they need transport. Brandmax plans project cargo from the drawing board: route surveys, lifting plans, equipment specification and the permits that heavy or abnormal loads require on Kenyan and regional roads.
On the sea leg we arrange flat-rack, open-top and break-bulk solutions with carriers experienced in heavy cargo, including lashing and securing supervision at the port. On land, low loaders, multi-axle trailers, cranes and escort vehicles are coordinated as a single move - with police and road-authority permits handled by us.
The difference between a project move that arrives and one that stalls at a bridge or a border is planning and paperwork. Our coordinators manage both, and keep your site team informed with a movement schedule, not vague promises.

How it works
Survey and plan
We assess cargo dimensions, weights and the route - bridges, clearances, port options - and produce a movement plan.
Permits and equipment
Abnormal load permits, escorts and the right trailers or vessels are booked and confirmed.
Move and monitor
The move runs to a schedule with supervision at each lift and checkpoint, and progress reported to your team.
Deliver and close out
Positioning, offloading and documentation close-out at site, with all permits and records filed.
Frequently asked questions
What counts as out-of-gauge cargo?
Anything that does not fit within a standard container or legal road dimensions - typically cargo over about 2.4 m wide, 2.6 m high or unusually heavy per piece. If in doubt, send us the dimensions and we will advise.
Can you move heavy equipment to sites outside Nairobi?
Yes - we handle project deliveries across Kenya and into neighbouring markets, including route surveys for sites on unpaved or constrained access roads.
Do you arrange cranes for offloading?
Yes - mobile cranes and lifting crews are coordinated as part of the move plan where needed.
